Track: Apache (Remastered) Probably a lot more well known for the video than for the song itself. This was the last song i finished for the album and i finished mixing it while Tim from Dream Damage was over at my house to pick up the masters. Inspired by music by Ennio Morricone, there are also references to “How Deep is Your Love” by the Bee Gees, a more obvious reference to “Marquee Moon” by Television, and “Murderers” by John Frusciante. Big Thanks to Tim Guthrie for playing the snare roll in the song |

Track: Liberty Named after the song “The man who shot Liberty Valance” which is one of my favourite songs. Its a combination of electric and accoustic guitars which were then sped up and doubled with a dropped octave. I also wrote this while recording it. |

Track: Terrible Shame Features Dominic Death of TFL. Recorded this after working on his solo music in my parents garage. I like the lyrics |

Track: Lakes I have always thought the second half of this song is significantly stronger than the first half. I think I was listening to the first album by that Smith Westerns band and tried ripping them off even though it doesnt sound like them. Robin from TV Colours was cool enough to do some vocals on them while he was in sydney and I think they sound good. |

Track: Goodbye Baby Jonny Telafone is still one of the only local/Australian artists I have been impressed with. Go to dreamdamage.com and download every single album on there because its all genius. I wrote this song after listening to Pet Sounds and watching Elvis in Hawaii stuff. Jonno’s voice is really haunting in the verses and the chorus is like a Brian Wilson masterpiece |

Track: Apollo Apollo is probably one of my favorite songs. I originally wanted to have the entire song in reverse. I really like the synth underneath it. A lot of it is out of tune though. |

Track: Safe Home Safe Home is an attempt at a simple doo-wop song without the production. Like Pearl Jam’s version of “Last Kiss” which was my favorite song in year 6, without the screaming tires and the busted glass |

Track: Milky Way Milky Way was the first song i recorded. I recorded about 20 guitar tracks and mixed it all in after. I also played slide guitar on most of the tracks with a battery. I like this song because it sounds like crying whales. Recorded under the name Huckleberry Friend- which may be worse than Danger Beach. |
